Wagner World Update
It’s been a month since my new novel, RABID HEART, came out worldwide. I’ve spent the last four weeks doing press and basking in the glow of amazing reviews—Publishers Weekly, Kirkus, Rue Morgue, and many more had given RABID HEART stellar reviews, and I’m so grateful.
Most important to me, the positive feedback and love from all my readers. To all of you who have bought RABID HEART, I thank you immensely.
I also did one reading and signing for RABID HEART at BUCKET O’ BLOOD BOOKS & RECORDS in Chicago. My next stop is a signing at DARK DELICACIES BOOKS in Burbank, CA. I’m appearing with Bram Stoker winner Glen Hirschberg (who’s signing his book, Nothing to Devour), T. E. Grau (who’s signing his new book, I Am the River), and Steve Niles (who’s signing his new book, Frankenstein Alive, Alive!). I’m really looking forward to this as I enjoy Steve Niles work, and also, I’m a huge Bernie Wrightson fan and Niles has collaborated with Niles on some great things over the years.
I’m looking to get myself booked for more appearances at bookstores, libraries, horror cons, and book cons. Watch my BLOG here for updates—and more newsletters!
RABID HEART is supposed to be an audiobook at some time soon and will be available via Audible and more. I heard a sample of the first chapter and I was impressed with the narrator…she sounds professional and nailed the vibe perfectly. I’ll keep you all posted on this.
In other news, RIVERDALE AVENUE BOOKS/AFRAID BOOKS are going to re-release my first novel, THE ARMAGEDDON CHORD, in a revised edition that includes new and EPIC cover artwork by Claudio Bergamin (RABID HEART, Judas Priest, etc.) and a few other bonuses as well. I don’t have a release date yet, but I’ll keep you all up-to-date on this as well.
As I write this, I have finished another new novel! It’s very dark/horrific and another stand-alone and not like anything I’ve done before. I’m also almost finished my newest WIP which is definitely a departure for me…I’ve written the AUTHORIZED bio/memoir of my good friend, CHEF CURTIS DUFFY (formerly of GRACE restaurant fame). Let me tell you, this book is going to put the culinary world, the Chicago food scene, and all other chef memoirs on their ears!
As I finish the first draft, I’ll also be working on finding a home for this amazing book. I’m personally blown away by Curtis’ story and what we’ve done here…
Last…I’m not a huge gamer, but I DO love certain video games. I’m a huge fan of survival horror, sniper games, WWII action, assassination play, and f-ed up content. To that end, I’m so freaking excited right now as two of my FAVORITE franchises are back with new games! Those games are: FALLOUT 76 and HITMAN 2.
I imagine that I’ll be sucked into the black hole that is my PS4 for awhile. See you all when I come up for air!
